Higüey City Tours + Montaña Anamuya

Come along with us to discover the closed city from Punta Cana! Higüey city, principal city of La Altagracia Province. The tour starts by taking an AC bus or van from your hotel lobby. Our expert tour guides will take you through the ancient history side of the city. Once there, you will visit the San Dionisio church, with over 500 years old, built in the 1512. We will also visit The Basilica of La Altagracia church, built in the 1950 s, visited by people from all over the world. Shopping stop at a local handcraft gift shop. Right after it, we will then head to the countryside to visit a traditional countryside house, where you will have the opportunity of seeing the coffee and cocoa plantations, as well as the process to prepare them. It includes bottled water, degustation of local coffee, chocolate and exotic tropical fruits produced right there. You can also buy some organic coffee and chocolate from them. Sleeved shirts and long pants or skirts are mandatory to enter the cathedral. Departing from hotels in Punta Cana: between 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and return at about 1:00 p.m. or 1:30 p.m.
